The Image

Lion’s Mane Jellyfish – Cyanea capillata (Linnaeus 1758). This stunning jellyfish gets its name from the mane of long flowing tentacles.

The tentacles trail over 30 metres behind them, and they can give a painful sting.

Material

This giclée print is reproduced from Ian’s original pen and ink drawing and makes an interesting addition to any room.

The prints are beautifully printed onto sustainable Hahnemühle Hemp 290gsm Fine Art Paper. An eco friendly paper, with a natural white tone. It has a subtle surface giving the paper a pleasant, silky feel.

Hemp is a resource saving plant whose robust and long-lasting fibres have been a part of paper production for centuries, most notably used for the Gutenberg Bible and US Declaration of Independence. The image is printed using archival quality, Fine Art Trade Guild approved printers, inks and papers — tests have shown the prints can last over 100 years.

Frame not included.

The prints are from original artworks by Ian Hughes.
