Glutinous Snail Art Print

Glutinous Snail Art Print

The Glutinous Snail Art Print has been much requested, thanks to the publicity the conservation project for this beautiful snail has received recently

The glutinous snail is only found in one Lake in the UK. Ian was asked to investigate the life cycle of the snail, which is considered to be Europe’s rarest freshwater mollusc. You can read more about our conservation work here and you’ll find the guardian article here.

This beautiful print shows the life cycle of the snail, from the delicate eggs to the growing snail, showing its protective mantle, to the shell which is too delicate to handle. From an original watercolour by Ian Hughes.
