The Artwork is a look at the life of the now extinct Steller’s sea cow. It’s a reconstruction based on the observations of Georg Steller (he even features on the image if you look closely!) In addition to the art work on the front, the back of the notebook is printed with a brief story of Steller’s research. The sea cow’s were discovered in 1741, sadly the last record of them was just 27 years later! How did such a beautiful creature become extinct?
The notebooks are printed in Ceredigion. All Artwork is from originals by Ian Hughes. These pocket notebooks make the perfect gift for lovers of the natural world.
