Children’s Nettle and Butterfly Gift Set
The children’s nettle and butterfly gift set for young nature lovers to discover biodiversity.
The set contains a 100% organic cotton T-shirt, screen printed with the Lifecycle of the beautiful peacock butterfly. Also included is a copy of  the nature discovery book ‘Butterfly and Nettle’ which has been written by Ian and illustrated by Ben. The book tells the tale of Annette’s encounter with a nettle, where she learns how important nettles are to so many of our native butterflies. It’s full of info about butterflies and their food plants. The book is written in rhyme to make it more memorable and has lots of lovely pictures to colour. The box will also include an info leaflet all about the peacock butterfly.
The aim of the gift set is to give children as much information as possible about the importance of every creature, and how we can all play our part in saving the planet.
It’s a brilliant way for children to learn about butterflies and to understand how plants we think of as weeds enable their survival. It introduces an understanding of the interconnectedness of all species within an ecosystem.
The T-shirt
The Peacock butterfly life cycle T-shirt is made from 100% beautifully soft organic cotton. The T-shirts are fair wear certified and are in a beautiful lavender colour handprinted with planet friendly water based inks.
This child’s organic cotton T-shirt is 155 gsm and a comfortable unisex fit.
The T-shirts are also certified vegan.
