The Dragonfly T-shirt is made from 100% soft organic cotton, it’s Fair Wear Certified.
We are delighted to be working in partnership with Freshwater Habitats Trust on this T-shirt design. They are celebrating their 30 year anniversary in 2018. 30% of profits from this T-shirt will go to the Freshwater Habitats Trust.
Freshwater Habitats Trust is one of the UK’s principle research and conservation charities. Working for the protection and recovery of our most endangered freshwater species and their vulnerable habitats. They work in partnership to develop and deliver practical advice to enable people to manage and create new clean water habitats for wildlife.
We have worked with and been helped by Freshwater Habitats Trust on a variety of projects, including those to help the glutinous snail and tadpole shrimp.
The dragonfly was the design chosen because it represents longevity as a living fossil. It’s life cycle demonstrates outreach from the water itself to neighbouring habitats and species that freshwaters support.
The art work is from an original by Ian Hughes.
