Freshwater Habitats Trust is one of the UK’s principle research and conservation charities. Working for the protection and recovery of our most endangered freshwater species and their vulnerable habitats. They work in partnership to develop and deliver practical advice to enable people to manage and create new clean water habitats for wildlife.
We’ve worked with and been helped by Freshwater Habitats Trust on a variety of projects, including those to help the glutinous snail and tadpole shrimp.
The dragonfly was the design chosen because it represents longevity as a living fossil. The life cycle of the dragonfly from the nymph living under the water for a year or more to the emergence of the beautiful adult is represented on this notebook
