The Image
All of the cephalopods found in British waters, drawn to scale against the background of a giant squid.
This piece has been a labour of love for Ian. He has spent so much time researching the giant squid and how those magnificent eyes may look. You can read more about it here. He’s then scaled all of the other cephalopods to the appropriate size.
If you love cephalopods then this is for you. All of the cephalopods from the giant squid to the tiniest bobtail squid are featured. The piece comes with a free download which will be emailed to you after purchase, to help you identify the cephalopods in the image.
Material
This giclée print is reproduced from Ian’s original pen and ink drawing and will add a talking point to any room.
The artwork is beautifully printed onto sustainable Hahnemühle Hemp 290gsm Fine Art Paper. An eco friendly paper, with a natural white tone. It has a subtle surface giving the paper a silky feel.
Hemp is a resource saving plant whose robust and long-lasting fibres have been a part of paper production for centuries. The image is printed using archival quality, Fine Art Trade Guild approved printers, inks and papers — tests have shown the prints can last over 100 years.
