Paper Nautilus Fine Art Print
The Paper Nautilus Fine Art Print is an A5 (21 x 14.8 cm) print.
The Image
Paper nautilus (Argonauta argo, Linnaeus 1758)
The Paper nautilus, or argonaut isn’t in fact a nautilus at all, its a species of octopus. The paper thin “shell” that gives them their name is in fact a protective case that the females produce as a home and to protect their brood from predators. The female grow to around 10cm, and make the shells up to 30cm. The male however only grows to about 2cm, and doesn’t produce a “shell”.
This image was produced on Adobe Draw.
Material
This giclée print is reproduced from Jake’s original digital drawing.
The prints are beautifully printed onto sustainable Hahnemühle Agave 290gsm Fine Art Paper. An eco friendly paper made from resource saving agave sisal fibres. The paper has a delicately defined texture with a pleasant, soft feel.
Agave is ideally suited for digital artwork requiring paper texture. The image is printed using archival quality, Fine Art Trade Guild approved printers, inks and papers. Tests have shown the prints can last over 100 years.
Frame not included.
The print is from an original digital artwork by Jake Hughes.
‘I’ve wanted to draw a paper nautilus for a long time, and have started several over the course of the last few years, so its nice to finally get one under my belt.
