This super soft 100% organic cotton T-shirt features the Peacock Butterfly from an egg to a caterpillar, through to a chrysalis and into the beautiful butterfly. It’s a great way for kids to learn about metamorphosis.

About the picture

This British butterfly, the peacock (Aglais io) was hand drawn by Ian using pen and ink. The black image shows the intricacies of the butterfly’s pattern which is made up of individual scales like the dots of the picture. So much butterfly imagery today is of tropical or exotic butterflies and we wanted to show off one our home-beauties who rely on us for their survival.

This children’s Butterfly T-shirt will come with a free info leaflet all about the peacock butterfly and a postcard about nettles. These delightful butterflies rely on nettles for their survival, so we all need to learn to love nettles, just a little bit!

T-shirts have a GOTS certificate (Global Organic Textile Standard) and are made by a Fair Wear company.

The Butterfly T-shirt is available in five sizes

• 3-4 Years: Half chest 34cm (12.99 Inches) – Length 42cm
• 5-6 Years: Half chest 36cm (13.77 Inches) – Length 46cm
• 7-8 Years: Half chest 38cm (14.56 Inches) – Length 51.5cm
• 9-11 Years: Half chest 42cm (16.14 Inches) – Length 57.5cm
• 12-13: Half Chest 46cm (17.32 Inches) – Length  62.5cm

The half chest measurement is arm pit to arm pit.

The image is hand screen printed  in black water based inks. Your can choose a lovely soft lavender colour or a vibrant bright orange T-shirt.

We’ll print your T-shirt to order here in our basement in west Wales. The design is hand printed with black, planet friendly, water-based, toxic-free ink. Please allow up to a week for us to print your T-shirt for you, although we’re usually quicker than that.

T-shirts can be washed at 30 degrees, reshape whilst damp, tumble drying is not recommended.

Your T-shirt will be sent to you in plastic free packaging by Royal Mail 48 hr tracked delivery.
