The ladybird spider, and it’s conservation has been part of our family for a very long time. Heading off to Dorset to check spider sites and carry out translocations was just part of our home schooling!
It’s very exciting that Ben, pictured with a gorgeous female ladybird spider when he was 9, has illustrated our new book all about the spider.
Lacey the ladybird spider is a storybook to colour all about the lifecycle of the spider and about the conservation project too.

We’ve had the absolute joy of working as part of a conservation programme for the exquisite ladybird spider for over 20 years. To celebrate here is the first of our new ladybird spider products! The pocket image is available on a red t-shirt or with extra hand painted detail on the natural raw!
The ladybird spider was thought to be extinct in the UK when it was rediscovered in 1980 on one site in Dorset. We’ll tell you more about the project to conserve it soon 🕷
