Lifeforms Art is an independent, eco-conscious brand specialising in capturing nature in art and sharing it, to celebrate the amazing creatures we share this beautiful planet with. We hand draw all of our artwork.
We want our products to share the message that Nature is amazing, and that we are all responsible for the future of our planet and it’s inhabitants
It’s massively important to us that our products are produced as ethically and sustainably as possible.
T-shirts and Sweatshirts
The aim of sharing the art on T-shirts is to educate, empower, raise awareness and start conversations about nature, biodiversity and the importance of protecting our planet.
Our T-shirts and sweatshirts are all 100% organic cotton. We don’t use any synthetic materials, even if they are recycled, they still shed microfibres with every wash. These synthetic fibres are reaching the sea and causing harm to creatures in the deep.
All our garments are ethically sourced, we sell products made by Continental Clothing, a member of Fair Wear. Fair Wear’s mission is to improve labour conditions for the hundreds of thousands of workers involved in making clothes for Fair Wear company members. We hand print T-shirts, sweatshirts and hoodies here in our basement in Ceredigion, we only use water based inks.
Our garments are Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) certified.
The aim of the standard is to define world-wide recognized requirements that ensure organic status of textiles, from harvesting of the raw materials, through environmentally and socially responsible manufacturing up to labelling in order to provide a credible assurance to the end consumer. Our notebooks are printed in small batches in the UK. They are printed on recycled paper. Each notebook shares information about the featured creature. Sharing the knowledge and empowering people with knowledge about nature is a huge part of what we aim to do.
We want to raise awareness of the perils that animals face, and the sad fact that animals go extinct because of the actions of humans.
We also want to share the absolute joy that connecting with nature can bring.
The poster prints and postcards are printed in small batches on recycled card. Our fine art prints are printed to order on beautiful hemp paper.
Kerry makes all of our one off jewellery pieces here in her shed in our west Wales garden. Each piece is hand made using recycled silver incorporating textures from nature.
Our packaging is kept to a minimum and is always plastic free, even down to our paper tape. We’re lucky enough to live by the sea, on regular beach cleans we see the harmful effects of plastic on a daily basis, so reducing our plastic use is incredibly important to us.
